Twice as Nice....Kind of

I enjoyed my cigar so much last PM that I went ahead a lit up. An older one in limited collection so in the spirit of decluttering this is a win-win. Smooth but it does present some hot gas upon inhale. More surprisingly, it didn't crumble after removing it from it's wrapper. My make shift traveling humidor using a small Pelican case and a moisture card seems to be working. I have a few cigars for additional data points. More to follow....as long as the weather holds out.

A Smooth Smoke at Sunset

One of my evaluates Joe "Hollywood" Benson hooked me up with the following cigar: La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel Country: Dominican Republic Filler: Dom. Rep. Binder: Dom. Rep. Wrapper: Ecuador A great, wedge-headed shape that?s well-made, with dark and streaky wrapper. It smokes well. This is a ver strong cigar with spice and wood flavors, plus a hint o orange peel. Full bodied.
The weather today was absolutely gorgeous today in the ATL. It warranted a run (4.68 miles) and sitting on my deck, for he first time, at sunset and enjoying a Dominican cigar. When you have a good cigar you realize how nice and relaxing it can be. The weather has a little something to do with it as well. And company when applicable. I haven't smoked a cigar with a bunch of buds since Balad. PCSing on a regular basis and moving up the pyramid scheme comes with the sacrifice of social infrastructure. Though it does allow me to be introspective and contemplative....and the opportunity to blog. I love the tapered or chiseled tip. It makes easy of holding the cigar in one's mouth. The LFD Double Ligero is smooth and does not present hot smoke. The Ecudorian wrap is not bitter and once again the term smooth comes to mind. The contents are wrapped loose enough so it doesn't feel like you are sucking through sand. A Bass ale complements this cigar very well by not being to bitter to overwhelm the experience or flavor yet full bodied enough so as not dilute it.

Oatmeal makes me scream!

My daughter is constantly hamming it up. And her strapped to her seat while she straps on the feed bag makes it a whole heck of a lot easier of capturing a few pictures. And this is without caffeine.
